The Confessions of a Lazy Runner. The Journey to 10,000 Feet. Being on vacation this week, I decided to do something I had never done before. I wanted to hike and try to summit a mountain, so I texted my friend Rob, who has done this quite a bit and asked him if he wanted to join me. He was most definitely in, so we selected a mountain and were off to the great outdoors! The going was steep early on, but then leveled off for a bit. The scenery was amazing and I was enjoying myself tremendously.
